A quirky drama of life, death and leaf-blowing.

Ultimate Reality - Phil Gorn - 71:00

A combination of two classics,”The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and “Marty”. The main character is a perpetual daydreamer who gets a little too caught up with his fantasy world.

Alchemy - Anna Condo - 18:30

A Doctor, a Lawyer, the Actor and the Dresser, are all touched by Saskia’s gift of this most unusual candlestick.

Unprecedented is a cautionary tale, warning us that we must insist our elections be conducted in a manner above approach. Anything less undermines our faith in democracy.

Ashes to Ashes: The Art of Rebecca Haseltine - Barbara Klutinis - 10:00

Visual artist, Rebecca Haseltine describes her reactions to the September 11 attacks on the US, her artistic process and her role as an artist in expressing the unimaginable.

A compelling historical overview of the origins and growth of

East Contra Costa County.

A young female artists gets locked out of her house and hit over the head by a Magical Orange. Thus begins her odyssey.

An imagined world in which time runs backwards for some people and forward for others.

In one amazing moment Rosa Parks changed the course of American History. She and her neighbors created a template for social change that rocked the world.

Vital Signs: An Introduction to Deaf People, American Sign Language, & Non-verbal Communciation Skills - Susan Schaller and Yoon Lee - 20:00

The experiences of deaf people and their language is presented to help hearing professionals learn to communicate visually in more effective ways.

A Tahitian tale about Teufi, the Princess of the ocean, and the most beautiful Black Pearl of all. Filmed in Tahiti on the island of Mo’orea.

Body Tjak / The Celebration - Crosspulse / Keith Terry - 10:00

An excerpt from a performance work which combines Balinese vocal percussions with body music.  Performed by Crosspulse, an international music/dance ensemble.

The Summer Off - Colin Bannon - 25:00

Humorous, coming of age story in which a teenage boy spends the summer with his quirky uncle, after surviving a drunk-driving accident. The two characters ultimately learn valuable life lessons from each other.

 

*****Whiz Kid Award- Young Producers

Cheez Whiz - Jett Gelber - 5:00

Parody of teen substance-abuse documentaries that examines the self-destructive lifestyle of teens who are hopelssly addicted to Cheez Whiz.

 

***** Das Wunderkind Award- Young Producers

Interview with Wallace - Max Strebel - 7:30

Animated mockumentary, in which the Wallace character from “Wallace and Grommit” is interviewed as if he were a real actor.

*****Running Man Award- Young Producers

The Most Dangerous Game - Noah Walker - 19:00

Stylishly photographed and edited, the classic short story about a man trying to outrun an expert hunter is given the look and feel of a modern day action film.

*****Broken Heart Award- Young Producers

Poison - Steven Band - 11:00

Intense drama about a young couple whose relationship is being destroyed by an act of infidelity.

*****Best Thriller Award- Young Producers

Disconnection - Zack Sultan & Jack Bradbury - 9:00

Constructed like a maze, this edgy, stylized thriller involves a worker who discovers a woman's purse and cell phone. He is offered $50 if he will drive to a rendezvous point and return it to her.

****Pop Tart Award- Young Producers

Pop ‘n Fresh - Maybeck High School, Producer: John Diller - 6:00

A parody of the lifestyle of superficial female rock groups.

****Best Experimental Award- Young Producers

Shortcut - Zack Sultan - 6:00

Contemplative, experimental thriller in which a man is haunted by his shocking discovery on a remote hillside.

 

****Best Wacky Animation Award- Young Producers

Mr. Stick Goes Sky DivingMaybeck High School, Producer: John Diller - :30

A wacky chalk board animation of life and death on the edge.

 

****Supreme Kid Vid Award– Young Producers

“Up and Down” & “Attack of the Giant Mosquito” –  East Bay School of the Arts: Summer School 2002, Janet Blair, Director, Maimone Attia, Producer / Instructor – 10:00

In “Mosquito,” a young boy and his babysitter battle over the fate and treatment of a giant mosquito. In “Up and Down,” a t.v. addict faces eternal damnation for his addiction.

Blair in Mind - Harassment - Blair Academy, Producer: Judith Kahan Kampmann - 14:00

One segment of a video magazine focusing on issues of harassment and byllying in the community of Blairstown, New Jersey and beyond.
