All Video entries must have been completed within the last 24 months. Past entries in BERKELEY VIDEO & FILM FESTIVALS are ineligible.

*VIDEO & FILM FORMATS FOR SUBMISSIONEntries may originate in any format listed below; however, *Entries must be submitted in DVD-R, Mini-DV, DVCAM, or BETACAM SP for pre-screening/jury. All must be in NTSC format. All videos must be labeled with title, producers name, category and total running time. If your film is selected for final theatrical screening, you must submit your entry in either *Mini-DV or *DVCAM tape formats, ( *preferably DVCAM ). ORIGINAL ACQUISTION FORMATS: Film – 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm, Super 16mm, 35mm, 70mm Panavision, IMAX Video – ½” reel, 2” Quad, 8mm, Hi-8, ED-Beta, PIXELVISION, ¾” U-matic-SP, VHS, Super VHS, Betacam SP, MII, Digital Betacam, D-1, D-2, D-3, D-5, DVCAM, Mini DV, DVCPro, Digital S, DVD-R, 1” Type C, W-VHS, HDTV, PAL, SECAM, HD CAM, Hard Drive, Memory Card, all computer formats. *Screener Tapes and DVD's will not be returned unless return postage and mailer is included. Student Filmmakers must be enrolled in a college, university, or film school. Young Producers must be 17 years old or younger. Short Features must be 45 minutes or less. Arts include Theatre, Dance, Performance, and narratives on artists. Elder Producers must be over 71 years old or older.
BERKELEY VIDEO & FILM FESTIVAL 2010 ENTRY & RELEASEI am the sole person responsible to make the decision to enter this media material in the BERKELEY VIDEO & FILM FESTIVAL (hereafter called BVFF). I understand when I fill out this entry form and thereby enter this media entry in the BVFF, that I indemnify, release, and hold harmless BVFF, its managers, employees, interns, sponsors, co-sponsors, individual and institutional supporters and EAST BAY MEDIA CENTER (hereafter called EBMC) from any liability related to the use of my entry. I further understand that by submitting my entry to BVFF & EBMC, I indemnify, release and hold harmless EBMC of any responsibility and liability, for any or all damages or losses that may occur to my entry. I am the person responsible and give my express permission to BVFF & EBMC to exhibit my entry at events which include but are not limited to judgings, previews exhibitions, festival screenings, dvd and video cassette distribution, television broadcasts, cablecasts, satellite down and uplinks, radio, and electronic on-line transmissions, webcasts and streaming of my entry. The entrant further agrees that all rights and permissions for any materials contained within the said entry, including all music rights, have been granted and the entrant holds harmless BVFF & EBMC from any or all disputes or claims that may arise from these rights and permissions granted. I give my permission to exhibit my entry at the festival screenings of the award winning entries and authorize BVFF & EBMC to retain my entry and allow BVFF & EBMC to include my entry for any or all promotions, compilations, screenings, webcasts and exhibitions of the BVFF, in perpetuity and further grant the right and permission to edit and use any part of my entry to promote previous and subsequent BVFF’s.*Please Note:
